Airport Buses

From the San Francisco International Airport

The Marin Airporter leaves the airport for Marin County every 30 minutes on the hour and on the half-hour from 4 a.m. – 11 p.m. The cost is $17 one way per person and travel time is approximately 45-60 minutes each way (price may vary).

From the Baggage Claim area (lower level), go to a scheduled transit stop on one of the islands in the middle of the main service road outside the airport buildings. The Airporter leaves from the area identified with blue posts.

Be sure to tell the driver that you want to get off at Seminary Drive. If you do not have a seminary contact pickup arranged, or if you arrive outside of our office hours, tell the driver that you will need a taxi to meet you at Seminary Drive. The taxi will wait for you at the parking lot to the left of the bus stop.

Or, call your seminary contact for pickup. (There are pay telephones at the gas stations across the street from the bus stop parking area.)

From the Oakland International Airport

The Sonoma County Airport Express runs between the Oakland Airport and Santa Rosa, (a city north of the seminary.) It leaves Oakland every hour on the half-hour, from 5:30 am - 9:30 pm and also at 11:30pm. Cost is $22 per person each way.

If you are coming from Terminal 1, exit the terminal from the Baggage Claim area and cross to the center island.

If you are coming from Terminal 2, exit the terminal from the Baggage Claim area, proceed to the end of the terminal, and cross to the center island.

You will pick up the Airport Express at the sign marked "Scheduled Shuttles and Chartered Buses." Tell the driver you want to get off at the San Rafael bus station. Once there you will be able to board any Golden Gate Transit bus that travels southbound on Highway 101.

Tell the driver you want to get off at Seminary Drive. You will need to take the pedestrian over crossing from the Seminary Drive bus stop, cross to one of the gas stations, and use a pay telephone to call a taxi. Or, call your seminary contact.

From the San Jose International Airport

There is no direct transportation from San Jose Airport to Marin County. We suggest renting a car.
