Graduation Applications are due the last day of class one semester prior to the graduation date. For instance, if a student is graduating spring 2016, their application is due the last day of the fall 2015 semester.
We need to have the Graduation Application filled out fully and completely by the student accompanied by the Progress Sheet completed by the center Registrar. We must have both the Application and Progress Sheet on time or it will be considered late. The Progress Sheet may be turned in through email but a hardcopy is preferred. We must have an original hardcopy of the Graduation Application.
If the Graduation Application is received in the CLD national office after the due date, there will be a $50 late fee. Please note no late applications will be accepted after the first day of classes begin in the semester they are graduating in.
Please consult the GGBTS Catalog.
The CLD office orders the Regalia for the centers based on the height and cap size indicated on the Graduation Application form. The student will pick up the Regalia at the Golden Gate Seminary campus the day before graduating or as directed by Regional Campus leadership.
Only the NCC campus offers a Fall ceremony. Thus, if a student wants to participate in a regional campus ceremony, they will need to wait until the Spring. However, the student may receive a Diploma sooner once they finish if their Graduation Application has been turned in one semester prior. Please notify us if this is the case.
Because the Diplomas are important documents, Golden Gate Seminary must have proof of the student having filled out the Graduation Application and understood all that is on the form. Thus, there must be a signature from the student and initials in the bottom left hand corner for us to accept the form. Otherwise, it will be considered late if we do not receive a correctly filled in application by the due date.
If the student indicates Previous Degrees earned on the Graduation Application, in order for the Degrees to be listed on the Program, the student needs to provide the transcripts for these degrees.
The student is to turn in the Graduation Application to the local CLD center. The Registrar and Director are then responsible for sending the Graduation Application to the CLD National Office by the due date. Note: Please submit the Graduation Application to the local center one month prior to the due date to allow ample time for the center to look over and process your application.
If you are completing a certificate, you are not “graduating” but rather finishing the certificate. Thus, you do not need to fill in a Graduation application. You would fill out a Certificate Completion form. The Graduation ceremony is only for those receiving a CLD Diploma.
