Dr. Lisa Hoff served as adjunct faculty at Golden Gate in the fall of 2006 and for the 2010-2011 academic school year. Her teaching responsibilities have included courses pertaining to Asian history and development, world religions, and strategic planning. As Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies, she teaches courses related to intercultural communication, anthropology, and global leadership.

Prior to coming to Golden Gate, Dr. Hoff lived in East Asia for fifteen years working with a U.S. company and establishing an educational institution specializing in English language and cultural training. She also has significant experience in working with volunteer teams, coordinating partnerships between groups in the U.S. and overseas, and supervising various cross-cultural endeavors.

Dr. Hoff’s doctoral research was focused on urbanization in China and the societal impact of these recent developments. She brings experience in ethnography and qualitative research to the Seminary’s David and Faith Kim School of Global Missions. 

She is a member of the American Anthropological Association.
