Dr. Maury Robertson is first and foremost a pastor. He planted River Valley Christian Fellowship in Yuba City, California in 1991 and shepherded it for over 21 years. In 2000, he combined his love of pastoral ministry with his love of teaching by joining Golden Gate as an adjunct professor of Greek and New Testament.
Maury believes that technology is an important tool for the proclamation of the gospel. He was one of the first to develop a fully online class for Golden Gate and maintains a blog as well as two web sites, one dedicated to the study of Biblical Greek and the other to the study of the New Testament. He enjoys playing with the green screen in his garage to devise new ways to proclaim Biblical truth.
He has a wide variety of interests. He built and landscaped his own house, golfs, plays french horn with a local woodwind quintet, and writes a weekly article for the Appeal Democrat in Marysville, California. He regularly puts on a backpack and disappears alone into the wilderness to remember that he is very small and God is very big. He and his wife, Julie, have three children. |
