Before joining the faculty at GGBTS, Dr. Gregg Watson served as a translator for the Holman Christian Standard Bible project, working on one of the Old Testament translation committees. He also served as pastor of Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, Texas for seven years and taught as an adjunct professor in the Old Testament Department at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He believes that God's call and purpose for his life is teaching, studying, and interpreting the Old Testament as a means of building strong foundations in the spiritual lives of those who will participate in the ministries of preaching, teaching, worshipping, and evangelism.
He enjoys watching and participating in sports of all kinds and collects sports memorabilia as a hobby.
His wife, Kim, and three children (Noah, Seth, and Hannah) enjoy playing together, worshipping together, and going on adventures together. |
