Arizona Campus

The Arizona Campus (AZC) of Golden Gate Seminary is located in Scottsdale, AZ, in the ethnically diverse greater Phoenix area, one of the most rapidly growing and dynamic metropolitan areas in the country. This urban center offers students abundant opportunities for a wide variety of ministry experiences to gain practical experience while earning a seminary degree.

The Arizona Campus is fully accredited to offer the Master of Divinity and the Master of Theological Studies degrees. The Diploma in Theology is offered for those twenty-five and older who do not have college degrees. Students can pursue the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership degree at AZC, but must take 9 additional hours at a campus authorized to grant the MAEL (NCC, SCC or Online). The Diploma in Educational Leadership is available with similar restrictions, for those twenty-five and older who do not have college degrees.

The Arizona Campus was established in 1995 as an outgrowth of the vision and cooperative efforts of the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. The campus is an important part of the strategy of Arizona Southern Baptists to develop leaders for churches in Arizona and beyond. Class schedules are designed to accommodate students who work in churches or have other jobs during the day. Additional flexibility is afforded through intensive courses offered in January, on weekends, and in the summer. Students can earn their seminary degree in four years by attending one day or two nights a week with one intensive course per year.

The Arizona Campus of Golden Gate Seminary is committed to offering a quality seminary education while allowing students to remain in their local ministry setting. Our outstanding faculty all have advanced theological degrees and practical experience in local church ministry and missions.

Library

The Arizona Campus Library houses over 12,000 volumes. Research computers with Internet access to utilize the Library catalog and multiple databases are available. In addition, the library is a member of the Theological Library Cooperative of Arizona, which includes six other theological schools in the Phoenix area. Golden Gate Seminary students have access to the resources of all six theological libraries in the cooperative, as well as to the books available from the other four GGBTS campus libraries.
